Recording nature tracks is a new passion of mine. It's risky to put my camera down for 10 and 20 minute stretches -- a bird or some other subject always happens along the moment I'm sitting quietly in order to get a decent recording. But I love being able to remember a place not just by what I saw, but what I heard. The wings of the red apapane make a distinctive whirring sound as they flit from branch to branch, and later in the track, an oma'o bird adds his squeaky call to the mix. I use the tracks for meditation and yoga, and hope they bring enjoyment to you as well.
