https://ninadegraff.hearnow.com This 8-minute length of audio was the inspiration behind my impulse to begin recording nature tracks. It's actually the sound track from a movie I captured at the foot of Arenal Volcano while my husband and I were staying at the Arenal Lodge; a few clips of it are in the volcano movie on my video page. Starting at dawn, the calls of tink frogs and nightjars slowly give way to the voices of insects, birds, and animals of daylight hours, until finally troups of howler monkeys start bellowing to each other across miles of dripping, foggy rainforest. Given the drama of an active volcano spitting out molten boulders in the background, I call this my "dawn of time" piece, since it seems to reflect the progression of simple creatures to specialized birds and primates.
